Using more than the Acceptable Bandwidth Usage for your Web Hosting Plan WILL NOT be billed by our system automatically and WILL NOT result in automated limitations put by our monitoring system in any form.

The bandwidth value that we consider Acceptable derives from routine tests on our shared hosting servers and our long experience in the field. The nature of the shared hosting environment implies that many users share the available resources of the same web hosting server. Therefore, we must ensure that each user gets his fair share of hardware resources offered by his chosen plan and is not, by any means, limited to do so by other users hosted on the same infrastructure.

With the above in mind, we need to guarantee that each of our customers utilizes an amount of bandwidth that does not harm the server's performance. Excessive bandwidth usage can affect resources such as CPU, RAM, and I/O operations, consequently hindering the other customers' experience. Utilizing a large amount of bandwidth can easily influence your own website's uptime and access to the resources mentioned above and can negatively impact other users by compromising the uptime of the server itself.

Still, we have to consider that each website operates differently based on how you build it. A website with 500 visitors may use more resources compared to a website with 50 000. It depends on the code, the used visual theme, and the functional components - plugins, modules, etc.

Here is a very basic example. Two websites: one is a blog, and the other is a website offering downloadable content. The blog could easily get 50 000 to 100 000 visitors as most of the content is text and images. The other website may only have a handful of visits each month, but the nature of its content predisposes it for higher bandwidth consumption.
