How to access the action log in Plesk

Introduction

The Action Log in Plesk is an essential tool for monitoring activities performed within the control panel. It records events such as login attempts, configuration changes, service modifications, account actions, and administrative operations.

Accessing the Action Log allows you to:

  • Track changes for auditing and security
  • Identify unauthorized or unexpected actions
  • Troubleshoot issues caused by recent modifications
  • Verify successful operations performed by users or administrators

Plesk provides an easy-to-use interface where you can review, filter, and analyze recent activity.

In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process of accessing the Action Log in Plesk.

Getting Started

First and foremost, please ensure you are logged in to your Plesk control panel. To do that, please enter your IP address, hostname, or domain name inside your web browser’s search bar and add “:8443” at the end. It should look something like: “https://yourdomain.com:8443”. By doing so, you will be prompted by a login form that requests your username and password.

Accessing the Action Log

To access the Action Log functionality, please locate the “Tools & Settings” option in the left-hand menu. Once you do that, please click on it.
