How to white-label Plesk

Introduction

White-labeling Plesk allows you to replace Plesk’s branding with your own, giving the control panel a professional, customized look that matches your company's identity. This is especially useful for hosting providers, resellers, agencies, and businesses that want their customers to interact with a branded interface rather than the default Plesk layout.

By white-labeling Plesk, you can modify:

  • The Plesk logo and favicon
  • The login page branding
  • The panel title and browser title
  • Company name and support links

In this tutorial, we will guide you through customizing your Plesk installation to reflect your brand.

Getting Started

Before you begin managing backups, please log in to your Plesk control panel. To perform that, please enter your IP address, hostname, or domain name inside your web browser’s search bar and add “:8443” at the end. It should look something like: “https://yourdomain.com:8443”. By doing so, you will be prompted by a login form that requests your username and password.

After logging in with your username and password, Plesk will automatically display the “Websites & Domains” page, which will serve as the index page from where you can manage everything related to your websites and domains on Plesk.

Accessing the White-Label Settings

To begin customizing Plesk’s branding, please navigate to the “Tools & Settings” page by clicking on the option located on the left side of your screen.

Performing the action above will redirect you to the “Tools & Settings” page, which offers a wide range of tools to manage and control every aspect of your Plesk server.

To manage your branding, please click on the “Branding” functionality, located under the “Plesk Appearance” section.

Adding Custom Support Links and Contact Information

Performing this action will redirect you to a page with a form that requires you to enter all fields to generate the desired button. Let’s go over all the available options there.

  • Button label - Please use this text field to label the button you are going to add.
  • Tooltip text - Please use this text field to add a tooltip text for the button you are going to add.
  • Background image  - Please use this text field to add a background image for the button.
  • Location - Please use this drop-down menu to give the new button a location where you want Pleks to show it.

  • URL - Please use this text field to add a URL where the button should redirect the customer who presses it.
  • Open URL in Plesk - Please use this checkbox to enable this URL to open in Plesk. Please note that this is not recommended, as this would require additional configuration from your end. If left unchecked, the URL will open in a new browser tab.
  • Do not use frames - Please use this checkbox to disable using frames. If you add a custom button that leads to a Plesk extension or an app in the Customer Panel, you can specify how the extension/app should be displayed: in a frame or as part of the Plesk GUI.
  • Add parameters to the URL - Please use the checkboxes here to add parameters to the URL. For example, you can add the Plesk user subscription ID or a customer’s company name.

Once you have entered all details for the new custom button, please click on the “OK” button located at the bottom of the screen.

Performing the above action will redirect you back to the “Custom Buttons” page, where you will see your button listed.

In our case, we have added a button that will lead to our HostArmada tutorial section. To check whether the new button is active, please go to the Plesk index page we mentioned at the very beginning of this tutorial, then expand your website’s tools.

During the bottom configuration process, we chose the location to be in the “Website Tools” area, which is why we are going to test it here.

As you can see, the custom button is already available in our website tools, and all customers can access it.

Conclusion

As you can see, Plesk provides an easy, flexible way to white-label your control panel, enabling you to deliver a fully branded experience for your users and customers. By updating your logos, titles, support links, and interface elements, you can create a professional, unified look across the entire platform. In addition, you can add custom icons and links to your dashboard to redirect customers to your desired tutorial sections or helpful articles!

We hope this tutorial was helpful, and we encourage you to revisit your branding settings whenever you update your company identity or service offerings.
