Introduction

Whether you use your emails for personal or business reasons, including personalized and unique signature, can grant your instant recognition. In this tutorial, we will guide you toward configuring email signature in the Gmail App and saving you the time and effort of manually typing it each time you send emails through your Android device.

Getting Started

This tutorial presumes you have an Email Account already set up in the Gmail App on your device. If you have not done this yet, please take a moment to review our tutorial based on How to set up Email in Gmail on Android.

Please open the email application on your device and click on the triple bar icon located at the top left corner of the screen whenever you are ready.

Afterward, please select the "Settings" option from the pop-up menu, which will appear on your screen's left side.

That action will take you to the "Settings" section, where you will see a list of all email accounts currently configured on your device.

To configure an email signature for a specific email account, please select it from the list.

Setting Up a Gmail Email Signature

Once the email is selected, the Gmail app will take you to the account settings section. You will notice the email address showing at the top of the screen, assuring you are editing the correct email account.

The third setting, from top to bottom, is the "Mobile Signature". You will notice at this point that it appears as "Not set", meaning that the Gmail app disables it by default.

To enable it and configure your custom signature, click on it.
