If you are reading this tutorial, you are likely familiar with what Ezoic is and what Ezoic does. However, you may have also discovered that there are a couple of integration methods you can use to use it.
This tutorial will cover all the Ezoic Integration Methods, how you can perform them, and which one will benefit you most, depending on your needs and preferences.
Before we proceed further, we would like to outline the fact that HostArmada's servers are fully compatible with Ezoic. Not only that, but we are also an Ezoic Certified Provider, and having your website hosted with us will make your site faster while using Ezoic and fetch you more ad revenue.
Currently, Ezoic offers three integration methods for websites - the DNS method, Cloudflare Method (known as the Cloud method), and the WordPress plugin method, which at this point is only valid for WordPress websites.
We will start with the most commonly used one - the DNS Method.
The DNS integration method for Ezoic involves updating your domain name's current nameservers to the ones presented by Ezoic upon signing up with them.
During the sign-up process, you will be naturally guided by the Ezoic intuitive dashboard to a pair of two nameservers.
Regardless of the vendor you bought the domain, you need to perform a nameserver change.
Please copy these nameservers and go where you registered your domain name - typically, you do that at a Registrar or a Web Hosting Provider, such as HostArmada. If your domain is registered at HostArmada, you can update these in your Client Area following the path: Client Area -> Domains -> My Domains -> Expand DropDown Menu -> Manage Nameservers.
If you do not feel confident enough doing that, please get in touch with our support team via the live chat feature on our website or through the ticketing area, and they will be more than happy to assist you.
If you purchased your domains through NameCheap or GoDaddy, we have tutorials you can check about them in our KB articles.
After changing the nameservers at your Registrar, return to your Ezoic dashboard where you found the nameservers initially and press the “Integration Complete” button, shown in the first screenshot of this tutorial.
That’s it! You have now integrated your domain name with Ezoic using the DNS method!
Since Ezoic is a certified Cloudflare partner, the Cloudflare integration method (cloud method) is seamless and brings many benefits to your website. This method is the most recommended (even by Ezoic), and you should always use it if there is some technical incompatibility between your website and Cloudflare.
Suppose that is the case, and you are not using HostArmada. In that case, you should think about switching, as we are a certified Ezoic provider, and naturally, all our services are compatible not only with Ezoic but with all their partners to ensure smooth communication between all sides.
To begin the Cloudflare setup, please log inside your Ezoic account and go to the "Settings" menu.
Upon doing so, you will be redirected to the "Settings" page, where you will notice that the Integration options will be opened by default. Please click on the "Cloudflare" tab to start the Cloudflare setup.
Upon clicking on the "Cloudflare" tab, you will see a brief explanation about what Cloudflare is, and on the right side, you will notice the "Activate Via Ezoic Account" button. Please click on it to proceed.
Doing so will trigger a brief loading animation, and after that, the "Activate via Ezoic Account" button will transform into the "Activate Via Own Account" button. Please click on it to continue.
Clicking on the "Activate Via Own Account" button will redirect you to a page where you must type in your Cloudflare credentials - email and password.
Please type your Cloudflare email and Cloudflare password in the respective fields and then click on the "Save" button.
Once you do that, there will be a quick loading animation, and after that, you will be redirected back to the initial page where you selected the "Cloudflare" tab.
You will notice that there will be a content box, signifying that you have now integrated Cloudflare for your domain.
There you have it! If you performed the steps based on our instructions, you would have integrated your domain with Ezoic using Cloudflare!
Please note that in many cases, integration could take a little while to propagate across the web. If that is not the case immediately, you can wait a few hours until the integration is complete and continue the Ezoic configuration.
The last method we are going to review is the WordPress plugin method. This approach is perhaps the least recommended and most unpreferred way of integrating Ezoic. However, some publishers prefer it over Cloud and DNS methods.
To begin Ezoic WordPress plugin integration, please log inside your WordPress admin area. Please check our tutorial if you need help with how to do that.
Upon logging in, please click on the "Plugins" options located on the left side menu, then click the "Add New" button at the top of the page.
You will be redirected to the plugin installation page, where you can use the search bar on the right side of the screen to search for plugins. Please type in "Ezoic".
Once you do that, you will see the "Ezoic" plugin and the "Install Now" button next to it. Please click on it. After a brief period, the "Install Now" button will turn into the "Activate" button. Please click on it.
Doing so will activate the plugin and will take you to the WordPress plugin page.
Please click the "Settings" link corresponding to the "Ezoic" plugin to proceed with the plugin configuration.
Doing so will redirect you to the "Ezoic Plugin Integration" tab, and initially, it will say that the integration is incomplete.
Please click the "Enable WordPress Integration" button to activate a link between your Ezoic account and your WordPress.
And that's the final step! You have now integrated your WordPress with Ezoic using the WordPress plugin method with only a few clicks!
As you can see, Ezoic offers a variety of ways to integrate your website with its ad network and performance tools! Of course, you may choose whichever method you prefer, and if you need any assistance with their integration, our team will be happy to assist you as long as you are a HostArmada customer. You are welcome to contact them via the live chat option on our website or submit a ticket from your Client Area.
