Every domain you purchase from us is going to have its status as locked. This state ensures its security against unsolicited transfers and protects your rights as the domain owner. We highly recommend keeping this enabled at all times unless you are planning to migrate your domain name.
To unlock it, please follow these steps:
- Proceed to your Client Area, and from there, navigate to the left side of the screen and press the "Domains" dropdown menu.
- When the menu expands, please select the "My Domains" link right under it. This action is going to take you to the domains page where you are going to see all domain names you have registered with us populated within a table section.
- Please point your attention to the wrench icon on the far right side of the table. There will be a wrench on each row for every listed domain. Please click on the one corresponding to the domain you wish to unlock to land on the domain details page.
- Right below the navigation bar located on the top of the page, you are going to see a domain summary, containing the "Important Dates" and "Billing Information" labels.
- Underneath you are going to see the "Disable Lock" button. Please press it to change its status to "Disable Lock," unlocking your domain in the process.
Note that the above explanation applies if you purchased your domain through us. If you have not bought your domain from HostArmada, please contact the third-party service provider and ask them to unlock it for you.
