PrestaShop provides you with the option to configure a page for your physical store so it can be displayed to your visitors. On that page, the visitors will get detailed contact information about your physical store, in case they want to go straight there to buy the products you sell. Of course, that feature comes in handy only when you actually have a physical store so today you are going to learn how to set up the Store Contact page for your physical stores in PrestaShop 1.7.
In order to start the setup process for the page of your physical stores in PrestaShop 1.7, you will first have to login into the main admin panel of PrestaShop. After that, from the left vertical navigation menu look for the “Store Parameters” link. When you find it, please, click on it. You will see a drop-down menu that will appear with the following options:
From all the options that appear, please, click the “Contact” one. You will be redirected to a page called “Contacts”.
You will notice that the page has two different tabs: “Contacts” and “Stores”.
The first tab contains information about the contacts of the Online Store and the second tab contains a list of all the available physical stores. This is actually where you can set up the information for your physical stores, so please, click the “Stores” tab.
When you click the “Stores” tab, you will be redirected to a page called “Stores”. The page is divided into two sections. The first one goes by the name “Stores” and the second one is called “Contact details”.
The “Stores” section provides you with a handy list of all your physical stores.
The information on that list gives details to the customers about the name of your physical stores, address, city, zip/postal code, state, country, phone, fax, enabled - to specify if the store is currently active or no and a final column that you may consider as “Available Actions”.
The “Contact details” section gives you the option to provide the main details of your company, rather than those for a specific shop.
Please, bear in mind, that the information here has to be the one on your headquarters, only because this is going to be the address where customers will contact you from, or even visit you.
The fields that are shown in this section are as follow:
Once you are done completing all necessary changes, please, click the “Save” button at the bottom of the page.
That way your changes will be saved.
Now, you can check the frontend of your website, by clicking the “View my shop” button at the very top of the page.
Let’s go ahead and create a store contact for the individual stores of your business.
Right under the “View my shop” button, you will see a big blue button called “Add new store”.
Please, click on it. That action will redirect you to a page called “Add new”. There you will be provided with a section called “Stores”. This is where the store creation form is placed.
Most of the fields contain basin information, but despite that, every field is important because once created the information for that store will represent part of your business. Let’s start with the fields as they follow:
Once you are done entering the information about the physical store, please, click the “Save” button at the bottom of the page.
After you click it, you can refresh the page and PrestaShop will redirect you back to the “Stores” page where you will be able to see on the list of the sample provided stores the new store that you just added.
If you want to make changes to your physical store, please, click the “Edit” button at the “Stores” page.
You will find it right next to each of the already existing stores. When you click it you will be redirected to the exact same page when you were creating the physical store, but the only difference here will be that all the fields are already filled out.
All you have to do is just make the desired changes in the fields and then save your work.
Now, if you want to delete a store that is no longer available, please, go back to the “Stores” page and click the arrow right next to the “Edit” button.
A dialog box will appear saying that you are about to delete the specific store and two buttons under the message for confirming or canceling the operation.
Setting up a store contact is pretty easy, but is also very important to provide the customer with the correct detailed information about your physical store.
Congratulations! In this tutorial, you have learned what is a Physical Store Contact Page, how to create such and how to manage all the contact information for your Physical Stores!
