When X-Cart is initially installed, it includes two default banners on the Home Page. As an X-Cart user, you have probably have noticed them and most certainly would like to change and customize them.
The first Banner rotates a few default images and allows you to include direct links to specific pages on your store.
The second Banner contains a "Welcome to X-Cart Demo Store!" text message, and it is displayed right beneath the first one.
Note that depending on the theme you are using, the text, images, and position can differ, but they are generally displayed on the Home Page.
If this sounds like something you would like to change on your store, let's get straight to the point!
For a start, please log in to your X-Cart Admin Area and navigate through the left-hand side menu bar to Content > Front page.
You can see this section is split into three primary tabs. Our general focus is going to be on the first two "Front page" and "Banner rotations" tab as they hold the setting controlling the banners mentioned earlier.
To change the images shown in the Default Banner or to altogether remove it, please make sure you are located under the second "Banner rotations" tab.
The first "Enabled" toggle switch controls whether the Banner is displayed on the Front Page. In case you would like to disable it, please make sure to set it to "OFF".
The second "Banner interval (in seconds)" setting determines the time interval for rotating the images in the Banner in case you decide to add multiple images. If the image is only one, this setting is going to be ignored.
Right below, you can see a table containing all images currently configured in the Banner along with the link to the page they lead to upon clicking the image.
The order in which they appear in the table determines the consequence of the rotation on the storefront. You can re-organize them by clicking on the Crossed Arrow icon and dragging and dropping them to the desired position.
To add your custom images, you can either click on the "Add banner" button, which is going to include a new blank row, or click on the default images, which is going to provide you with two upload options - "From computer" and "Via URL".
You can delete any unneeded images by clicking on the Trashcan icon.

When you are ready, please click on the "Submit" button to apply the changes.
Now it is time to go to your storefront and check the result. Fingers crossed you are going to be happy with it.
If you are pleased with the new appearance, your job here is done.
To customize the Welcome text, please switch to the first "Front page" tab.
You have to enter your custom message in the "Description" text box. You can use the handy tools the editor includes to format the text, insert links, images, videos, edit the HTML code, etc.
Once you perform the desired changes, please make sure to click on the "Update" button to apply them.
When this is done, you can go to the storefront and check the result.
