X-Cart, pretty much like any other eCommerce software, comes pre-configured with the default application Favion and Store Logo images.
The Apple icon is intended for smart devices only. This is the icon, which appears on the user's phone or tablet home screen as a quick access shortcut when they pin your website.
In this tutorial, we are going to guide you on how to change your Store Logo and Favicon images and set your custom brand logo. You are going to be surprised how simple this task is to accomplish in X-Cart.
For a start, please log in to your X-Cart Admin Area and navigate through the left-hand side menu bar to Look & Feel > Logo & Favicon.
The "Logo & Favicon" page is where you can change the Company Logo, Favicon, and Apple icon images.
The store logo size is determined by the theme you are using for your X-Cart store.
Before you step into replacing the default Store logo, you have to check the recommended logo image dimensions. You can find this information by navigating through the left menu bar to Look & Feel > Image.
It is advisable to stick to the recommended dimensions. Please be aware that if you upload a larger-sized image, X-Cart is going to resize it automatically to match the defined dimensions.
To change the Store Logo, you need to click directly on the default "Company logo" image. When you do that, a menu is going to appear, providing two upload options: "From computer" and "Via URL". You are welcome to select the most convenient upload method, depending on your preferences.
Once the image is uploaded, you are going to be provided with an additional "alt" option to specify the alt text to display in case the image cannot be loaded for some reason.
When you are ready, please make sure to click on the "Submit" button to apply the changes.
Favicon icons are generally 16 x 16 pixels or 32 x 32 pixels in size. X-Cart advises using 32 x 32-pixel images. It is recommended to hold to the .ico file format as it is the most commonly used and widely supported. You can always use a file converter tool to generate or convert your file into .ico format.

The process of replacing the default Favicon icon is the same. You have to click on the image, select the desired upload method, and proceed with the upload of your custom Favicon icon.
Similar to the previous example, please make sure to click on the "Submit" button when you are ready.
The Apple icon must be in .png file format and with 192 x 192 resolution.
At this point, you should be well aware of how to replace it. Once again, you have to click on the default image, select the most convenient upload method, and proceed with uploading your desired image.
When you upload the image, please do not forget to hit the "Submit" button to apply the performed changes.
Now, it is time to go ahead and double-check if the images appear as expected on the storefront. If it looks as expected - you are good to go.
If you have changed the Apple image, you have to check it on a mobile device. If you are pleased with the result, you are all set.
If you ever need to revert the changes, you can do so by clicking on the corresponding image and selecting the "Delete" option. This action is going to replace your custom image with the default X-Cart one.
